LOCAL NEWS: Dr. Preble Takes U of L Air Force ROTC Cadets for Orientation Flights
Dr. Preble is an officer and pilot in for the Civil Air Patrol. February 20th, the good doctor participated in a series of Orientation Rides for young Air Force ROTC Cadets. The college students were given basic instruction and allowed to handle the controls at a safe altitude as part of this program.

Aircraft Down! (From October, 2009)
Dr. Preble makes sucessful crash landing when landing gear fails to extend.

As I write this, an old friend lies injured, awaiting help. She’s a beautiful old Cessna 210, a small, retractable gear airplane that I’ve flown for over 25 years. This old gal used to be part of our family, but passed into the hands of one of my friends some years ago. Even so, I have enjoyed the continued privilege of flying and teaching in this fine aircraft ever since.
